Instructions and Rules

Pharma Group Chat is an online community gathering pharmaceutical professionals from across the world. This community is dedicated to facilitating reliable sourcing options, potential business partnerships, up-to-date industry insights, and boundless networking opportunities…all in one place. It creates a new way of building professional connections in the pharmaceutical industry, combining convenience, swiftness and privacy protection.

What can you do in Pharma Group Chat?

• Source products

Our community is a gathering place for global pharma suppliers and buyers. You are welcome to post your sourcing requests for pharmaceutical products here. The Admin will match your needs with qualified suppliers, share supplier updates in the group chat and help you establish further connections. Every Monday and Wednesday, the Admin will also post a list of the latest sourcing requests under the featured topic “Sourcing Time”.

•  Learn and  Share

The community provides sufficient opportunities for pharma professionals to learn and interact with experts and KOLs. Get in pace with the industry by joining the featured topics ”What’s hot this week?”, “Global Pharma News” and many more.

• Network and Socialize

Feel free to extend your social network here. On every weekday, the featured session “Tea Break” will be on and tasteful topics will be served! Grab one topic of your interest, steal a relaxing moment from your daily work and make friends with people from another corner of the world.

Who is participating?

Everyone from the pharmaceutical industry is welcome to be part of it. Whether you are a buyer or a supplier, whatever department you work in, be it procurement, BD, R&D, management, or others, wherever you are in the world, the community is open to you.

How to get on board

It’s simple! In the Telegram app, initiate a conversation with @PharmaGroupChat_COOLBOT and the bot will walk you through it. After a short registration with a few questions answered, you will be verified by the admin.

Pick up a special nickname with a special emoji to represent yourself in the community. Then… All done and enjoy!

Privacy protection

Different from the normal Telegram Group, Pharma Group Chat is conducted through a Telegram bot. This allows us to improve the protection of your personal information to a new level. The list of the group members is hidden for good. You chat with a nickname-emoji set instead of your true identity. Even your friends on Telegram will by no means know you are in the same group. Therefore you don't need to worry that someone sneaks into the group chat, peeps at your Telegram ID, and sends spam to you.

Rules and regulations

• Be nice and cool

NO strong language, threats, harassment, abuse, or any other hateful conduct are allowed in the community. Any forms of violent, adult or unlawful content are not tolerated. 

Any violations will result in an immediate and permanent ban on the user, and the revocation of the messages.

• Keep your true identities hidden
  

In the group chat, people are communicating in the name of their alias (the nickname-emoji set) rather than their true identities.  It is very important to keep everyone’s identities hidden for privacy protection and safety. By no means, and under no circumstances should a user reveal his/her own or any other’s identities such as real names, company names, or contact details, in any form of group chat content (e.g. a picture with a company name, a link to the company website, texts with an email address, etc.).

In the cases where a user reveals his/her own identity, upon the 1^st and 2^nd violation, the messages will be revoked and the user will be muted for 10 mins. Upon the 3^rd violation, the user will be banned.  

In the cases where a user reveals anyone else’s identity, any violation will result in an immediate and permanent ban on the user, and the revocation of the messages.

• No advertisements
  

Any forms of advertisement without the admin’s prior consent are NOT allowed in the group chat.  

Upon the 1^st and 2^nd violation, the messages will be revoked and the user will be muted for 10 mins. Upon the 3^rd violation, the user will be reassigned with the role of “Audience”, who is not allowed to talk in the group chat.

• Speak English
  

English is the “official” language for communication in the Pharma Group Chat. Speak English so you can easily reach everyone in the group and get feedback from them. 

Any violations will result in the revocation of the message and a 10-min muteness for the user.

• Banned/muted users
  

Users who breach the above rules will be banned or muted. Please contact admin@PharmaSources_com(https://t.me/PharmaSources_com) to report a breach.

• Message types and intervals
  

The only supported message types in the group chat are text, image, and emoji. Please be noted all other types are NOT supported, including but not limited to:

-        Video

-        Gif

-        File

-        Sticker

Plus, there will be a compulsory 5s interval between every 2 messages sent by a user.

We set these limitations to avoid spamming/flooding and thus to keep the chats on track, as well as to protect privacy and safety.

• “Audience”
  

The “Audience” role is assigned to users by the admin In the following cases:

-        The user’s company is a supplier.

-        The user’s company is a trader/distributor/indenter.

-        The user’s job title is not related to purchasing, R&D or decision-making.

An “Audience” cannot talk in the group chat, yet he/she can still be part of the community and view the chats by joining the Pharma Group Channel (https://t.me/+M1QxTMCb0B81Mzdl). An “Audience” can contact admin@PharmaSources_com (https://t.me/PharmaSources_com) for a verification to talk in the chat.
