Usage |
About Diosmin Hesperidin 90:10
Diosmin is derived from hesperidin, both of which come from citrus plants and belong to flavonoids, which are good for the structure of blood vessels. Factories often mix hesperidin and diosmin as a tropic drug formulation, and sell a combination product containing 90% diosmin and 10% hesperidin.
Studies have confirmed that diosmin and hesperidin can interfere with arachidonic acid metabolism and histamine release. This flavonoid also inhibits thromboxane and prostaglandin activation. These activities prevent inflammatory reactions and are therefore believed by some to reduce allergic reactions. Doctors often recommend diosmin and hesperidin to patients with hemorrhoids. Patients taking this combination formula feel pain, swelling and itching significantly reduced.
A study aimed at increasing the sensitivity of cells to calcium by diosmin confirmed that vascular tone was improved. Some research results have led doctors to believe that part of the cause of venous insufficiency and valve failure is related to inflammatory diseases, and its derivatives can be used to treat varicose veins. In addition to its anti-inflammatory effects, the benefits of diosmin include protecting blood vessels by preventing cells from adhering to the lining of blood vessels, promoting blood circulation and reducing endothelial damage. Some doctors also use diosmin and hesperidin to treat vascular insufficiency and venous stasis.
The doctor claimed that the blood circulation effect of diosmin and hesperidin could increase the recovery rate of venous stasis ulcers. Medical staff also use this mixed formula to promote lymphedema and blood circulation in patients undergoing secondary breast cancer surgery. Some studies have confirmed that Diosmin also has the effect of scavenging free radicals, so it can provide antioxidant activity.
Function of Hesperetin
(1) Antioxidant effect: The Hesperetin can eliminate peroxynitrite ion and avoid the harm caused by peroxide reaction.
(2) Anti-inflammatory effects: the Hesperetin can inhibit the mediation of inflammatory mediators and indirectly inhibit the inflammatory response. Compared with hesperidin, hesperetin has a stronger anti-inflammatory effect, and hesperetin C7 has an effect on the anti-inflammatory activity after it is conjugated with quercitin.
(3) Hypolipidemic effect: The Hesperetin can inhibit cholesterol production enzyme and esterification enzyme, so as to achieve the effect of lowering blood lipids.
(4) Cardiovascular protection: The Hesperetin has the effect of lowering blood lipids and vascular permeability, and can play a role in preventing thrombosis. Hesperetin can also protect endothelial cells from hypoxia by stimulating certain mitochondrial enzymes such as succinate dehydrogenase to prevent clot formation induced by endothelial cell necrosis. In addition, hesperetin promotes antiplatelet coagulation activity by inhibiting the phosphorylation of PLCγ2 and its downstream signal transduction, which can prevent the formation of thrombus and is beneficial to the cardiovascular system.
(5) Anti-tumor effect: the Hesperetin has an anti-oxidant effect, so that canceration due to genetic changes caused by these factors can be avoided. Promote P-glycoprotein-mediated drug outflow from tumor cells, flavonoids (hesperetin, etc.) can change the blood-brain barrier permeability of vincristine, but also with its concentration. Low concentration of flavonoids can reduce the uptake of vincristine in brain capillary endothelial cells; on the contrary, high concentrations have a promoting effect.
