Levocarnitine for Injection

Note: the content below do not include all the information needed to use Levocarnitine for Injection safely and effectively. Please read the package insert carefully and follow the doctors’ instructions before use the product.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
It is indicated for chronic renal failure patients with long-term hemodialysis who have a series of concurrent symptoms due to secondary carnitine deficiency, such as cardiomyopathy, skeletal myopathy, arrhythmia, hyperlipidemia, hypotension and muscle spasm during dialysis.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
After each hemodialysis, the recommended starting dose is 10-20mg / kg. After dissolved in 5~10 ml of water for injection, the drug is injected intravenously once every 2~3 minutes. Once the concentration of plasma level of L-carnitine trough is lower than normal range (40-50umol / L), the treatment should be started immediately, and the dose should be adjusted at the third or fourth week of treatment (such as 5mg / kg after hemodialysis).
