Iron Dextran injection is used for the prevention and treatment of iron and vitamins deficiencies in cattle, sheep, goats
Active ingredients:
Iron dextran 10g, vitamin B12 2.5mg,
vitamin B1 0.2g, vitamin PP 2.0g
Excipient: q.s. 100ml
Uses:
For the prevention and treatment of iron and vitamins
deficiencies in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs
Dosage and administration:
By intramuscular injections
Prevention:
Calf: 3 to 4 ml at birth
Lamb, kid: 1 to 2 ml per 10kg body weight
piglets: 1 to 2 ml, the third day after birth
Treatment: a second injection should be given 8 days
after the first one.
Contra-indications, warnings:
Not for use in calves for veal production
Side effects:
Colored skin might occur on injection site
