Use: EDTA 2Na is an important complexing agent. For silvering solution before the copper plating, gold-plated, pewter, iron and steel parts and pieces of copper in the electrochemical polishing, it can also be used in place of EDTA-Na. Also used in detergents, liquid soap, shampoo, agricultural chemical sprays, color photographic materials Processing bleach fixer, purifying agent, PH adjusting agents, anti-coagulant agents. In the styrene-butadiene rubber polymerization initiators are redox systems, EDTA disodium as part of an active agent, mainly for complex ferrous ions, controlling the polymerization rate.

Properties
Odorless or slightly odoriferous white crystals or granular powder. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether, with a pH value of approximately 5.3 in aqueous solution.
Applications
Used as a heavy metal detoxifying agent, complexing agent, oxygen scavenger, stabilizer, and softener. It is also used as a test reagent for calcium, magnesium, and other metals, as well as a metal masking agent. Disodium Edetate is an important complexing agent used for complexing metal ions and separating metals.
