Co-located with the 2nd Annual Biomarkers in Clinical Development Congress; focussing on the role of clinical biomarkers in clinical decision making. Presentations will include different therapeutic areas including: oncology, neuroscience, cardiology and immunology.

On day one the Biomarkers Congress will cover solutions to the most pressing drug discovery and development challenges such as advancing PK/PD modelling , implementing imaging biomarkers and identifying drug induced toxicity testing.

The challenge of translating biomarkers into companion diagnostics involves robust validation processes and hard-won regulatory approval. At our congress hear from industry leaders discussing the latest solutions and strategies for implementing companion diagnostics in drug-diagnostics co development.

On day two hear about the latest partnership and collaboration strategies from the top market players in the biomarker industry. To build on the success of last year’s event, we are please to announce that the Biomarkers Congress will be co-located with the 2nd Annual Biomarkers in Clinical Development Congress, focussing on the role of biomarkers in clinical decision making, clinical diagnostics and clinical trial design. Industry leaders will discuss the importance of translating scientific innovations into patient benefits.

Directions:

The Congress will be held in the Charter Suites and Gallery area. Please use the Charter Foyer entrance, which is located to the right of the venue’s main entrance.

By Rail

Manchester’s main train station is Manchester Piccadilly, which is a 20 minute walk from Manchester Central or a five minute taxi journey. Alternatively, catch a connecting train to Oxford Road train station which is less than five minutes walk away.

Manchester Victoria station is also accessible to the venue, and is a 10 minute taxi journey or a 20 minute walk away.

The Metrolink tram service is available from both Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria disembarking to St Peter’s square, which is the nearest station to the venue.

By Metrolink

Metrolink is a convenient tram network serving Manchester city centre and further afield. Metrolink runs every few minutes from early morning until late in the evening, and operates through both Piccadilly and Victoria stations. Manchester Central’s nearest Metrolink stop is St Peter’s Square. From there, the venue is just a few minutes on foot, right behind the Midland Hotel.

By Air

Manchester Airport is a major international hub just nine miles (14.5km) from the city centre. It serves more than 200 destinations worldwide including direct routes to nine US cities. From the airport, the city is approximately 25 minutes away by taxi and will cost around £25. Alternatively it is just 20 minutes away via the half-hourly express rail service (tickets £3 – £4).

There is an NCP (National Car Park) directly below Manchester Central that is open 24 hours a day all year round. It has 720 spaces including 18 disabled parking bays and there is direct access to Manchester Central by lift, stairs and escalators.
