2018 International Conference on Gene Editing and Gene Therapy

Gene editing is a type of genetic engineering in which DNA is inserted, deleted or replaced in the genome of a living organism using engineered nucleases, or "molecular scissors".

Genome editing was selected by Nature Methods as the 2011 Method of the Year. The CRISPR-Cas system was selected by Science as 2015 Breakthrough of the Year.

       So far, Bioon has successfully held 4 conferences on gene editing. Next year, the conference will contain three sessions focusing on scientific research of gene editing, clinical application of gene editing and gene therapy, respectively. All speeches wil be given by top experts inside and outside China. Researchers hope to improve exchange and cooperation among all sides.
