The EMR STAR Certificate Program will include two modules: 1) Lower GI and 2) Upper GI. Physicians may choose to pursue a Certificate of Completion in the Lower GI module only, or sign up for both modules at the same time to receive a discount. Successful completion of both the cognitive and skills assessment components of the Lower GI module is a prerequisite for participation in the Upper GI module.

The EMR program is designed to specifically teach core knowledge and motor skills in lower / upper EMR through case-based video sessions and intensive, standardized hands-on training. Immediately following the live components, all participants will complete a post-test, as well as a one-on-one assessment of a standardized checklist of skills. The Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those participants who meet the passing standard for both post-test and the assessment components. Enrollees will be invited to bring one tech or nurse to train with them for no additional fee.
