The 26th symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Theraputics will bring together academics, scientists and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry to discuss innovations in drug development, taret selection and the impact of new discoveries in molecular biology.  During the last few years, numerous innovative agents have been discovered as a result of tremendous developments in the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer.

Further clinical progress in cancer treatment will be accomplished mainly through the conduct of translational research projects, efficient new drug development and the execution of large prospective, randomised, multicentre cancer clinical trials.  This requires a joint and global approach, and early and optimal exchange of information. Therefore, the Symposium will ensure the maxium amount of interaction and discussion through an exciting range of plenary sessions and lively workshops.
