          Healthcare Meetings Forum 2014 Focus on the Patient – driving new trends for medical meetings The 3rd HCMF will concentrate on the connection between scientific information, education and its connection to positive patient outcomes. A range of sessions will over two days investigate a range of topics in main sessions and workshops. Content will be directed to those working within Medical Societies, Pharmaceutical and Medical device Companies, Specialist agencies and partners from the supply chain dedicated to meetings and events. Survey of Healthcare Professionals – central to our Forum will be a survey of Healthcare Professionals, asking them what drives them to attend a physical event, where is social media in their thinking, what is good information to positively impact patient outcomes and which meetings deliver the most optimal science. Main Sessions include a debate on the results from the survey of HCP’s, from industry and HCP’s, followed by a detailed review of what is considered good content at medical meetings from all perspectives. We finish with some of the facts around Financial Transparency, what has it meant in detail to the relationship between HCP’s, Medical Societies and Industry. Our Hot Topic day two will concentrate on the procurement of meeting and events services with an in-depth analysis of how financial transparency has evolved since the last meeting. What are the facts, best practice and challenges out there. Workshops will provide ample time for attendees to deeper dive into key topics such as how can pharma support patient activities at congresses whilst investigating how the corporate, agency and supply chain can really work together as a team to deliver meetings and events. Speakers are from all parts of the Healthcare sector, with representatives from; European Cancer Organisation, AstraZeneca, Roy Castle Lung Foundation, also practising HCP’s from France and the UK including an Associate Editor of Heart journal part of the BMJ
