LSIPR roundtable on Myriad and Mayo

On Thursday September 4, LSIPR will be hosting a round-table debate at the prestigious Tower Hotel, London. A group of experienced lawyers will be discussing a variety of topical issues including the US Patent and Trademark Office's patent examination guidelines following the Supreme Court's decisions in the Myriad and Mayo cases. We'll look at how the new guidelines could affect patenting strategies in the UK and EU, the impact of the decisions on personalised medicine, and what modifications could be made to the guidelines.  Martin Essex, WIPR Group Managing Editor, will moderate the event and says: "We are delighted to be holding the first of a series of debates on current issues in the life sciences and biotech fields, and look forward to covering our panelists comments and views in the next issue of LSIPR."
