Medic West Africa 2013

Medic West Africa will be held from 16th - 18th October 2013 at the Eko Hotel & Exhibition Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. This year's event is set to be bigger than ever, covering 6,740sqm of exhibition floor space with more than 250 international and local companies and estimated 5,074 attendees who are expected come together to do business.

West Africa Healthcare Industry Overview

The West African economy grew at a rate of 6.9 percent during the year 2012, an increase over the 5.9 percent in 2011, regional bloc ECOWAS announced March 1, 2013. The achieved economic growth in the sub-region was more than double the global rate.

The introduction of government initiatives and programmes has resulted in extensive healthcare reform throughout West Africa. Healthcare sectors across the region are showing signs of remarkable improvement as the quality of hospitals and the availability of qualified doctors improving over the last few years.
