PerMediCon unites three different meeting formats in one event: Congress, Trade Exhibition and Call for Projects. The superordinate objective was to enable participants from different disciplines and therapeutic areas to learn from each other and to form networks in order to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of personalized medicine into medical practice - for the sake of the patients' health.
The innovative exhibition and Congress for personalized medicine The PerMediCon combines three meeting formats: Conference, exhibition, and the call for projects. The overall goal is, learn from each other to allow visitors of from various disciplines and indications and to link them to promote the entrance of personalized medicine in the care practice - for the benefit of the patient health -. The Congress introduces new forms of therapy, as well as technological innovations, provides insights into the current state of research and provides space for the debate on health political framework conditions. Call for projects presents innovative projects aimed at products, technologies and services in the context of personalized medicine. A partnership for the future PerMediCon and the Centre for integrated oncology The PerMediCon of 2015 will take place for the first time in cooperation with the Centre for integrated oncology (CIO) Cologne Bonn. The Centre for integrated oncology Cologne Bonn founded in 2007 and awarded since 2008 repeatedly Oncology Centre of excellence of the German Cancer aid. In the network of the University Hospital of Cologne and Bonn all on the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients work together participating hospitals and institutes with the diagnosis of cancer. The aim is the consistent and steady improvement in the treatment and care of cancer patients. This is achieved by optimizing the interdisciplinary cooperation of the clinical subjects through a comprehensive psycho-oncological patient care and a close link between of the clinical care with basic and clinical research. The close networking with doctors and hospitals is a central concern of the CIO.
