Circular Dichroism Analysis

Circular Dichroism (CD) scan analysis is very important for secondary and spatial structure of protein and polypeptide. There are several methods for secondary and spatial structure study, including X-ray crystal diffraction, NMR and CD. Although X-ray diffraction and NMR are complicated and hard to analysis which affected by many factors, the spatial structure will be analyzed clearly if we can collect enough efficient data. Relatively speaking, CD is a simple and efficient technique, which is the main method for studying secondary structure of protein and widely used in protein conformation. It provides convenient approach for confirming the protein spatial structure. In addition, the sample can be measured in solution which closed to the physiological status. The assay is rapid, simple and sensitive to the conformation change. The objective of this test is analysis sample secondary structure by collecting the CD absorbing spectrum in far-UV(190-260nm) region and Near-UV (250nm-340nm)region of the sample.
