Tylosin tartrate is a particular type of antibiotic that is commonly used in a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses and more.
This antibiotic serves a wide range of different purposes, but like other antibiotics it is designed specifically to target and kill certain types of bacteria. Without treating these bacteria, your pet may run the risk of developing an infection.
In terms of its effects on animals, tylosin tartrate is very similar to erythromycin, another type of antibiotic.

(1) As an aid in the treatment of swine dysentery (bloody scours).
(2) As an aid in the treatment of porcine proliferative enteropathy (PPE) or ileitis associated with Lawsonia intracellularis. Chickens
(1) As an aid in the treatment of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in broilers and replacement flocks; or for the prevention of CRD at the time of vaccination or other stress.
(2) As an aid in the treatment of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens in broiler chickens. Turkeys

Dosage and administration:
For oral administration via feed or drinking water.
Calves : 1 g per 50 kg bodyweight, twice daily,
during 7 - 14 days.
Pigs : 100 g per 400 litres of drinking water
during 3 - 10 days.
Poultry : 100 g per 200 litres of drinking water
during 3 - 5 days.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
