NVP(N-Vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)

Characters: Colorless or light yellow transparent liquid with slight odor at room temperature. Its melting point is 11℃. Soluble in water and other organic solvents, chemically active, easy to hydrolysis and polymerization

Application:

1. The plastic industry

Adding the monomer in the formula of UV curable coating can form flexible and rigid plastic film.By adding NVP in the formula of medical radiation, the highlight and low light coating’s extension rate and viscosity can be increased.
2. The electronics industry

Electrical equipment manufacturers use UV coating is fast processing and low temperature process to protect cables, electrical components and printed circuit boards.
3. The metal industry

The metallic UV coating products generally use Cationic vinyl ether/,epoxy compounds(Epoxide) or heterocyclic Systems to compose the formulas. The NVP mixed with propylene or ethylene ether in these systems to form a good activity of diluents
4. Other applications

It is widely used in wood, paper, ink, adhesives and other industries.

Storage: In neutral or weak alkaline conditions, low temperature, dark, isolated from the air, sealed. with the increasing of storage time and temperature, NVP has polymerization tendencies. To prevent this unwanted polymerization, a small amount of stabilizer, a small amount of stabilizer was added before barreling or transport. Being stored for a few months, the products may turn yellow. The quality of the products is not affected.
The product is neither explosive nor easy to burn, but it is flammable products. If the products stored in the bucket freezing, it should be melted with water bath not exceed 30 or at room temperature. Steam heating is prohibited
