Glycolic acid is the most commonly used alpha hydroxy acid owing to its reputation as one of the safest and most effective.Its molecules are the smallest among the AHAS, so it's able to penetrate skin better and be absorbed readily.

1.Exfoliate
Glycolic acid is an exfoliant which means it safely removes the outer layer of dead skin cells.
2.Moisturize
The mechanism of action of glycolic acid is to reduce the adhesion of keratinocytes by interfering with the binding force of the cell surface, accelerate the shedding and renewal of epidermal cells, and at the same time stimulate the synthesis of dermal collagen and enhance the moisturizing function.
3.Clean pores
Helps skin prone to blackheads, whiteheads and acne keeping pores away from skin that tends to clog and cause problem skin.
4.Anti-aging
Helps to speed up the skin's renewal process and acts as an anti-aging agent.
APPLICATIONS
Glycolic acid is used to smooth wrinkles, fade hyper pigmentation and sun damage, and generally improve the tone and texture of the skin. As such,it is often used in anti-aging products.
