Acetamidine hydrochloride is obtained from ethanol as needle-like or prismatic crystals, with a melting point of 177~178 °C. Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in acetone, ether and benzene. Its salt meets alkali to produce acetamidine (acetamidine is alkaline reaction), and its aqueous solution can be decomposed into ammonia and acetic acid when warmed, and should be closed and stored in a cold place. |
