TUL insulin glargine project won the first prize of Zhuhai Science and Technology Progress Award

Recently, the project of "Technological Development and Industrialization of Insulin glargine, a therapeutic drug for diabetes" (hereinafter referred to as "Insulin glargine Project") jointly declared by the Project Management Department of Zhuhai United Laboratories (Zhongshan) Company and Zhuhai United Bio-Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (formerly Zhuhai Institute of Biology) won the first prize of the 2021 Zhuhai Science and Technology Progress Award. Previously, TUL's scientific research projects have won provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards for many times.

The insulin glargine project of TUL was approved for research and development in 2007, obtained the production approval in 2016, and has been popular since it was launched in 2017, which can be described as "a sword sharpened in ten years, a plum blossom fragrance sharpened".

TUL has realized the localization of insulin glargine from raw materials to preparations. The clinical efficacy and safety of the project products are equivalent to those of the original products. It is the second domestic enterprise to list insulin glargine, providing safe and effective domestic insulin for diabetes patients.
