Degassing of mineral water 

Mineral water from natural sources contains carbon acid, minerals and iron. If exposed to air, the iron dissolved in the water will oxidize, making the water taste bad. The water needs to be iron-free at a pressure of about 50mbar, but first a vacuum pump is used to remove carbides from the water before it is introduced to produce soda water.

Tobacco product humidification/Wetting of tobacco products 

Without proper humidification, tobacco products packaged in boxes are too brittle and can break into fine particles during further processing. A vacuum pump is used to evacuate the air from the box and add steam and sometimes fragrance.

Vacuum evaporator

Liquid ring vacuum pumps can be used to assist in the evaporation of liquid substances in mixtures. The evaporator is usually a packed tower. Depending on the actual use environment, the vacuum pump can be made of standard materials or stainless steel. Vacuum evaporators can be used in many situations, such as milk evaporators in milk processing plants, thick liquid evaporators in pulp plants, crystallization devices in chemical plants, and tray evaporators in sugar plants.
