It can be used as photoinitiator of UV curable adhesive, suitable for unsaturated polyester resin, styrene resin, acrylic resin and other systems.           

Organic synthetic intermediate, also used in insecticides. This product has a bright future as photosensitizer of UV curable resin. The wavelength range of UV sensitization is wide. Benzoin is below 3400a and benzoin alkyl ether is below 3900a. However, when the benzaldehyde is below 4800a, it can be sensitized in a wide wavelength range, so it can be used for curing of thick film resin, which is not the characteristic of sensitization of UA resin before. And there is no smell after curing, so it is suitable for making printing ink for food packaging.
