What is Chrysin?
Chrysin is pale yellow powder(crystallized from methanol), m.p. 285 ° C. The soluble alkali hydroxide solution, Chrysin slightly soluble in ether, ethanol, and chloroform, insoluble in water. Chrysin is extracted from bignoniaceae plants auch as the seeds and bark of Oroxylum indicum (L.)Vent., Pinus mon-ticola Dougl. P.aristata Engelm. Chrysin has toxic effects on certain cancer cells.
Function:
