Operational Principle and structure of Jet mill

a. Operational principle

The material enters the crushing room through the material feeder. The compression air into the crushing nozzles. The material gains acceleration in the ultrasonic jetting flow and repeatedly impact and collide at the central converging point of the crushing room until it is crushed. The crushed material enters the grading room with the upflow. Because the grading wheels spin at high speed, when the material ascends, the particles are under the centrifugal force created from the grading rotors as wells as the centripetal force created from the viscosity of the airflow. When the particles is under the centrifugal force larger than the centripetal force, the coarse particles with larger diameter than the centripetal force, the coarse particles with larger diameter than the required grading particle will not entre the inner chamber of the grading wheel and will return to the crushing room to be crushed. The fine particles that comply with the diameter of the required grading particles will enter the grading wheel and flow into the cyclone separator of the inner chamber of the grading wheel with the airflow and get collected by the collector. The filtered air is released from the draft fan after the filter bag treatment.

The whole Jet Mill system is composed of the air compressor, oil remover, air storage tank, air freeze dryer, air filter, fluidized bed jet mill, cyclone separator, dust collector, draft fan and mixers, water film scrubber and others.

Jet Mill System

The whole jet mill system can be divided into three parts- Air source system, main part(jet mill and dust collection system), mixing system.

Air source system: Filtering and drying air, then the compressed air as the crushing medium is taken into the milling chamber by centripetal force of draft fan.

Dust collection system: Ensure the dust recycling in the process of production to meet the environmental protection requirement of clean production and exhaust emission.

Mixing system: Mix materials are fed into mixer according to required proportion, make the material reach the suitable state of crushing requirement. Through second time mixing and continuous mixing to make crushed materials more uniformity and conform to the requirements of the finished products.

The Jet Mill System Features

a. No rise in temperature: the temperature will not increase as the material are pulverized under the working condition of pneumatic expansion and the temperature in the milling cavity is kept normal, little abrasion and low noise.

b. No contamination: The whole process is contamination-free as the materials are moved by airflow and crushed through impact and collision each other in air proof condition.

c. Feeding process is enclosed with negative pressure air transportation, no powder pollution. finished products outlet can connect directly with packing machine, no waste.

d. The milling process apply the fluidized-bed jet mill work principle, high efficiency, uniform distribution particles, powerful production capacity.

e. Compact structure, easy installation and dismantlement. easy to clean the equipment.

f. Superfine and uniform particle size and fineness can be 0.5-30um. The whole system is controlled by remote PLC.
