Working principle of desiccant dehumidifiers 

The key component of Josem desiccant dehumidifier is a honeycomb desiccant rotor. The rotor is composed of special ceramic fiber substrate and active silica gel. The rotor is divided into process area and the reactivation area by special sealing structure.

When humid air passes through the processing area of the rotor, the moisture in process air is absorbed by the active silica gel, the dry outlet air is delivered to specified space by the supply fan, and the slowly rotating rotor carries the almost saturated water vapor into the reactivation area where smaller high temperature reactivation air flow is blown from the reverse direction and discharged the water vapor outdoors with a reactivation fan, the newly dried/reactivated dessiccant material is back into the process area. Thus, the rotor recovers the ability of moisture absorption and absorb moisture once again.

The above dehumidification and reactivation are repeated when the rotor rotates continuously, so as to ensure continuous and stable dehumidification capacity of the dehumidifier.
