Nitrendipine

Nitrendipine is a dihydropyridine calcium ion antagonist with the molecular formula C18H20N2O6 and number 39562-70-4. It is mainly used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris. By selectively blocking the calcium channels of v smooth muscle, it dilates peripheral arteries, reduces blood pressure, and improves myocardial blood supply. Its characteristics include slow onset, long-lasting action (once or daily dosing), and minimal impact on the cardiac conduction system. Common dosage forms include tablets (such as 10 mg/tablet), which should be used as by a doctor. It may cause side effects such as headaches and facial flushing, and should be used with caution in pregnant women and patients with severe aortic stenosis This drug has been used since the 1980s and is still one of the first-line antihypertensive medications in clinical practice
