Phthalimide

Main uses:
Organic synthesis intermediates: are key intermediates in the synthesis of many important organic compounds. For example, phthalimides can be used to prepare a variety of primary amines by Gabriel synthesis. It can also be used to synthesize organic compounds such as drugs, dyes, pesticides, etc. In drug synthesis, some compounds with special pharmacological activities can be obtained by structural modification of phthalimides.
Plastics industry: can be used as a raw material for plasticizers. The plasticizer derived from phthalimide has a good plasticizing effect, can improve the flexibility and processing performance of plastics, and is widely used in plastic products such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Surfactants: Some of its derivatives can be used as surfactants, with good emulsifying, dispersing and wetting properties, and have certain applications in detergents, cosmetics and other fields.
