Structural characteristics :TNA stands for threose nucleic acid, and "T" represents Thymine. Its structure takes stachyose as the glycosyl skeleton, and the thymine base is connected to the stachyose through a glycosidic bond. At a specific position of the glycosyl, there is a phosphamide group that can be used in nucleic acid synthesis reactions. The threosine structure endows TNA-T phosphoramidite with unique physical and chemical properties distinct from natural nucleic acids.

Function and application: Mainly used for the chemical synthesis of threefold nucleic acid (TNA). In the nucleic acid synthesizer, as a monomer, it is gradually connected with other TNA monomers or modified monomers through chemical reactions to form TNA chains with specific sequences. TNA is of great significance in life science research. For example, as a potential genetic material analogue, it can be used to explore issues such as the origin and evolution of life. It can also be used to prepare nucleic acid molecules with special functions, such as TNA enzymes with catalytic activity, etc.

Synthesis method: It is usually prepared through multi-step organic synthesis reactions using stachyose and thymine as starting materials. Firstly, a protecting group is introduced into stachyose to protect its active groups such as hydroxyl groups. Then, a glycosylation reaction is carried out with thymine to form a TNA-T intermediate with a protecting group. Then, the phosphoramididation reaction was carried out on the intermediate to introduce the phosphoramididation group, and through steps such as deprotection, TNA-T phosphoramidite was finally obtained.

Properties and stability: Generally a white to off-white powder. This compound is relatively sensitive to water, acids, bases, etc. During storage and use, it should be avoided to come into contact with these substances to prevent hydrolysis, deprotection and other reactions that could damage the molecular structure. It is usually recommended to store it dry at -20 ℃ or lower to maintain its stability and reactivity.

Relevant parameter: The CAS number is 325683-94-1, the molecular formula is C39H47N4O8P, the molecular weight is 730.799, and the purity is ≥98%.
