The Shanghai Jiahang JH-D2102 fully automatic plaster softening point tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with the plaster softening point determination method 2102 of the 2020 Edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, Part IV. It adopts technologies such as computer intelligent control, laser automatic detection, liquid crystal touch screen human-machine interface, and lead screw stepping motor lifting, featuring linear heating, uniform bath liquid stirring, and automatic sample testing. It is a highly automated instrument for determining the softening point of plasters, featuring quick and convenient testing and accurate and reliable test results. The instrument heats the solution medium and the plaster through the heating tube, and the temperature inside the beaker is made uniform by stirring with a magnetic stirrer. The controller uses a interpolation algorithm to control the output, making the medium rise linearly at a rate of 1.0 to 1.5℃/min. The plasters in the test ring began to soften gradually during the heating process. When the softening temperature point was reached, the plasters in the sample ring dropped slowly in the form of water droplets under the gravity of the steel balls. The average temperature of the plasters in the two sample rings when they dropped and touched the lower baffle was the softening point temperature of the plasters. The instrument is mainly composed of a chassis frame, a touch screen human-machine interface, a lead screw lifting system, a heating and temperature adjustment system, a laser detection system, a magnetic stirring system and other components. To facilitate the operation of the test and the smooth lifting and lowering of the components within the beaker, a test platform was designed. The test components were suspended and positioned on the test platform. The test platform and the test components were driven by a lead screw to descend smoothly and precisely, ensuring that the laser beam of the directed laser was close to the upper side of the lower baffle.
