1. Preface
Each type of oil has its specific refractive index. When the oil is substandard, adulterated or mixed with other oils, the refractive index will change significantly. Rapeseed oil, as one of the common edible oils, its quality is closely related to the safety of residents' daily life and diet. The fully automatic refractometer utilizes the principle of refraction and the refractive index to identify unknown compounds and is also used to determine the composition of liquid mixtures. 3 Experimental Methods
Determination method: Add a few drops of distilled water to the sample chamber with a pipette, cover the sample chamber lid, and calibrate the instrument reading after the reading stabilizes. Clean the sample chamber, add the sample in the same way, and start measuring and reading the data after the instrument stabilizes. Clean the sample chamber with ethanol and perform five repeated measurements.

4.2 Discussion
The Digipol-R300 fully automatic refractometer is easy to operate, suitable for the rapid analysis and detection of oil samples. Moreover, it has a high accuracy rate of automatic temperature control and good repeatability, which improves the working efficiency.

Precautions
During the cleaning process of the refractometer, it is important to protect the optical surface of the prism. When dropping samples, use a pipette and do not touch the prism with glass or hard materials.
