China’s Pharmaceutical Market Flourishing, CPhI China Helping Enterprises Move towards New Pattern

Chinese pharmaceutical products are quickening the pace towards the world with the economy globalization. China has become the second largest consumer of medicine in the world as well as the world’s biggest exporter of APIs. The main business income of China’s nearly 5,000 API and preparation enterprises has exceeded RMB 2.5 trillion, wherein, nearly 50 FDF enterprises have passed the certification or inspection of the Europe or the U.S., with their export amount of pharmaceutical products surpassing USD 13.5 billion. Under such background, CPhI & P-MEC China 2018, hosted by UBM EMEA and China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) and co-sponsored by Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (UBM Sinoexpo), will he held on June 20-22, 2018 in Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Extending industrial chain, to build the upstream and downstream integrated platform

In compliance with the industry development trends, CPhI China has been constantly exploiting and extending upstream and downstream industrial chain while deeply taking root in the pharmaceutical API industry over the past 17 years since introduced to China in 2001, and has now included 13 sectors including P-MEC, becoming a professional trade exchange event in the vertical industry chain of the global pharmaceutical industry, which is second to none. Wherein, the Excipients Zone of CPhI China will be upgraded to an independent exhibition in 2018, namely PharmaExcipients China, after 5 years of development, where more than 100 Chinese and foreign famous excipient manufacturers will gather to showcase innovative products and technologies, help the development of new dosage forms and new preparations of the industry, and enable Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises to walk on the innovative path with more competitiveness. Besides, the host is sparing no effort to further tap the upstream and downstream industry potential. The new "Animal Health & Feed" zone will be launched in Hall W5 in 2018 exhibition, with exhibits covering feedstuffs and additives, veterinary biological products, veterinary diagnostic reagents, veterinary APIs, veterinary preparations, and animal health products, etc., to expand the industrial chain, and further promote health of humans and animals.

Gathering global resources, with more overseas exhibitor groups to join

The exhibition area of CPhI & P-MEC China 2018 will be expanded to 170,000m². The exhibition is expected to gather over 3,000 Chinese and foreign excellent enterprises, and attract 60,000 visits Chinese and overseas professional visitors from 120 countries and regions, and over 80 professional conference events will be hold on the site, to present the latest development trends and advanced technologies of the global pharmaceutical industry. Famous for its high internationalization degree, CPhI & P-MEC China 2018 will add Brazilian exhibitor group at overseas zone in Hall E1 in addition to the original South Korean and Indian exhibitor groups, to advance the degree to new levels. The internationalization degree of visitors also rises year by year: CPhI & P-MEC China 2017 attracted 12,582 visits overseas visitors together with the concurrent FiAC exhibitions, which was highly praised by exhibitors.
