4-Amino-3-hydroxybenzoic acid is an intermediate of Tafamidis. Tafamidis (trade name Vyndaqel) is a drug for the amelioration of transthyretin-related hereditary amyloidosis (also familial amyloid polyneuropathy, or FAP), a rare but deadly neurodegenerative disease.
