Lappaconitine also has antiarrhythmic and anti-inflammatory effect. Lappaconitine works as an inhibitor of tetrodotoxin-sensitive, voltage-dependent sodium channels. On the other hand, lappaconitine is reported as an organocatalyst for asymmetric α-hydroxylation of β-keto esters.
