Gates Foundation Establishes $125M COVID-19 Fund

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has established a $125 million fund, the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator, in an effort to accelerate the development of treatments and to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Through a joint-venture with Wellcome Trust and Mastercard, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is supporting financial efforts to combat coronavirus. The funds aim to help identify and advance possible COVID-19 treatments and help prepare for the manufacture of millions of doses for global use.
