Magnesium Stearate

[Character] MS is white fine powder no grittiness, slight special smelly, slippery in touch with skin. Insoluble in walter, ethanol or ether.

[Usage] It has the function of lubrication ,antiplastering, glidant, etc. It’s mainly used as lubricant, glidant or antisticking agent in tablets and capsules and so on. Put Ms into dry granules before pressure plate, mix thoroughly and then press into tablets. The dosage be 0.25-2.0%. Because of its hydrophobicty, the dissolution rate of solid drugs can be delayed. Lage usage easily leads to disperse. The required dosage should be as low as possible.
